Respite care at Laurieton Lakeside
Laurieton Lakeside specialises in providing respite accommodation for those that require a short term stay.
We have single bed suites and renovated 2, 3 & unrenovated 4 bed rooms available for respite residents (rooms are subject to availability).
There are a number of reasons why someone may choose to enter an aged care home as a respite resident. Our experience tell us that the 3 main reasons are:
- To give a carer a well-earned break
- To recover from an injury or illness for a short period of time
- To experience the care and services of an aged care home before becoming a permanent resident
Residents can access residential respite care for up to 63 days each financial year and is available to anyone who is eligible for an ACAT assessment and has been approved for respite care in a residential aged care home.
