Our experienced nursing team

Laurieton Lakeside is fortunate to have one of the most experienced management teams in the aged care industry.

Facility Manager, Kristy Potts, has worked at Lakeside for nearly 20 years and Director of Nursing, Craig O’Malley, has over a decade of experience in the nursing and education sector.

Lakeside’s team are highly qualified and experienced but most importantly, are approachable and compassionate.

Facility Manager - Kristy Potts

Before being appointed as Facility Manager in December 2019, Kristy worked at Laurieton Lakeside for over 19 years in a variety of roles including: assistant in nursing, physio assistant and admissions/administration manager. The experience gained in these positions gave Kristy an intricate understanding of how a successful aged care home operates.

Kristy has a certificate 3 and 4 in nursing, has attended a physiotherapy aide course, and has obtained her certificate in OHS consultation. Kristy is also a trained and registered Fire Officer.

Kristy is married and has 3 children.

Director of Nursing - Craig O’Malley

Craig O’MalleyDirector of Nursing

Craig O’Malley is a Registered Nurse who has worked a variety of roles across the nursing and education sector. For the past 10 years, Craig has been in Management in the Aged Care Industry. A deep understanding of the aged care sector has come from Craig's progression in the industry. Roles have included: Care Worker, Enrolled Nurse, Registered Nurse and Nurse Educator.

Previously, Craig has spent 10 years in the acute sector as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (surgical) and 3 years as a Clinical Facilitator and Lecturer for North Coast TAFE & University of Newcastle. Craig holds a Bachelor of Nursing and Certificate 4 in Training & Assessment.

Craig is married and has 3 children.

Kim Webber - Office Manage

A Camden Haven resident since the late 1990’s, Kim has worked in the area for the last 2 decades. Kim brings to Lakeside a strong focus on customer service and positive customer outcomes. Kim has previously worked in community nursing homes and general practices, building great relationships with Camden Haven’s elderly community.

Kim is married with 2 adult children.

Clinical Nurse Manager - Rebecca Latimore

Rebecca LatimoreClinical Nurse Manager

Rebecca has completed her Bachelor of Nursing and has been a Registered Nurse at Laurieton Lakeside since 2018. Rebecca commenced the role of Clinical Nurse Manager at Lakeside in 2019. She has a strong interest in aged care, particularly the areas of dementia and person centred care.

Previously living in the area for over 30 years, Rebecca grew up on a farm in Comboyne and has 2 children.

Simone Mingay - Reception

Simone has been at Lakeside for 2 years in the roles of Assistant in Nursing, General Services and now her current role in Administration. Simone has a cert 3 AIN and a Diploma in Management.

Simone is married with 3 adult children and 3 grandchildren.
