Our experienced nursing team

Laurieton is very fortunate to have one of the most experienced nursing teams in the aged care industry.

Our Director of Nursing, Julianne McKenzie, has been with us for over 20 years. Her dedication, along with that of our other staff, is a true testament to the caring culture that thrives at Laurieton Lakeside.

Laurieton staff are highly qualified but most importantly, are approachable and compassionate.

Director of Nursing - Julianne McKenzie

Julianne McKenzieDirector of Nursing

Julianne McKenzie has worked at Laurieton Lakeside Aged Care Residence for over 20 years in the roles of registered nurse, Nursing Unit Manager and currently Director of Nursing. Julianne is registered in general; phychiatry and disability nursing with a degree in nursing and post-graduate degree in dementia and associated behavior. Julianne worked for the NSW ambulance service for 6 years in the position of paramedic and has a certificate in workplace training and assessment. She is an assessor in aged care standards of the accreditation process and Return to work coordinator and OHS consulation. Julianne is also one of Laurieton’s Immunisation Practice Nurses and a registered chaplain.

Julianne is married to a nurse and has 3 children who are also studying in the humanities environment of learning.

ACFI / Endorsed Enrolled Nurse - Hayley Wilson

Hayley is a Young, Vibrant and knowledgeable registered Endorsed Enrolled Nurse. Her dedication to aged care shines within our scope of individual care. Hayley has recently completed her certificate in Fire Officer training and is a current registered Fire Officer.

Office Manager - Michelle Monaghan

Michelle MonaghanOffice Manager

Michelle has worked at Laurieton Lakeside for over 18 years in the roles of assistant in nursing, reception and currently office manager. Michelle has a certificate 3 and 4 in nursing, certificate 4 in front line management and is currently completing a degree in information technology at Southern Cross University.

Michelle is married and has 4 adult children.

Admissions Clerk - Kristy Potts

Kristy PottsAdmissions Manager

Kristy has worked at Laurieton Lakeside for over 18 years in the roles of assistant in nursing, Physio Assistant and currently Admissions Manager. Kristy has a certificate 3 and 4 in nursing, has attended a Physiotherapy Aide Course, and has obtained her certificate in OHS consultation. Kristy is also a trained and registered Fire Officer.

Kristy is married and has 3 children.
